Execution Conditions

  • Environment: quiet, seated, uninterrupted

  • Posture: upright, stable

  • Eyes: closed

  • Devices: silent, out of reach

Step-by-Step Execution

Step 1 — Attention Settling (5 minutes)

Sit upright.

Place attention on:

  • breath

  • posture

  • stillness

No regulation.
No deepening.


Step 2 — Single-Item Recall (7–10 minutes)

Select one neutral memory item:

  • a name

  • a simple fact

  • a short phrase

Rules:

  • Do not force recall

  • Do not repeat mentally

  • Wait for the item to appear

If recall does not occur, remain neutral.


Step 3 — Recall Gap Observation (7–10 minutes)

Observe:

  • urge to search

  • impatience

  • internal pressure

Do not intervene.

The gap is part of the process.


Step 4 — Soft Access Phase (3–5 minutes)

Allow recall to occur or not occur.

No judgment.
No correction.


Step 5 — Closure (2–3 minutes)

Release the recall item.
Return to stillness briefly.

Open eyes slowly.


Post-Session Instruction

After completion:

  • Resume normal activity

  • Do not repeat the protocol

  • Do not test memory afterward

Proceed to Day 6 on the next calendar day only.
