20–30 minutes


Execution Conditions

  • Environment: dim, quiet, seated or reclined

  • Posture: supported but alert (no lying flat)

  • Eyes: closed

  • Devices: silent, out of reach

No music.
No guided audio.


Step-by-Step Execution

Step 1 — Structural Support Setup (3 minutes)

Sit or recline with support.

  • Spine neutral

  • Head supported

  • Limbs relaxed

Avoid collapse.


Step 2 — Sensory Withdrawal Phase (7–10 minutes)

Reduce engagement intentionally.

  • No breath focus

  • No body scan

  • No mental activity

Allow sensory input to reduce on its own.


Step 3 — Activation Fade Observation (7–10 minutes)

Observe:

  • slowing of thought

  • reduction of urgency

  • softening of muscular tension

Do not intervene.


Step 4 — Neutral Holding Phase (3–5 minutes)

Remain in reduced activity state.

No effort.
No drift into sleep.


Step 5 — Closure (2–3 minutes)

Return attention gradually.
Open eyes slowly.

Do not assess sleepiness.


Post-Session Instruction

After completion:

  • Resume activity quietly

  • Avoid stimulation for at least 30 minutes

  • Do not repeat the protocol

Proceed to Day 7 on the next calendar day only.
